Richard is the Managing Director of Vardy Property Group. His previous experience was in managing the property team at Reg Vardy plc, responsible for acquisitions and disposals and overseeing dealership development. Prior to Reg Vardy, Richard worked at Lambert Smith Hampton in their West End Agency and Development Team.

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co before joining Reg Vardy plc in 1988, where he served as Finance Director from 1991 to 2001 and latterly as Chief Executive.
Joined Northgate plc, the UK and Spain's leading commercial vehicle rental Company as Group Finance Director in January 2002 where he served in this role for five years.
In January 2008 Gerard accepted a new role as Finance Director of The Vardy Group of Companies.

Sir Peter has a vast amount of experience in growing and developing businesses. Since the sale of Reg Vardy plc to Pendragon plc in 2006, he has taken up board positions with Peter Vardy Ltd and The Vardy Property Group.

Michael Bates is Managing Director of Walton Bates Associates, a consulting company based in Durham that advises businesses and international organisations on global trends in economics, politics and commerce.
Prior to establishing his own business Michael was Director of Consultancy & Research for Oxford Analytica (1998-2006) a research firm with close links to the University of Oxford.
Michael also served as an elected Member of the House of Commons 1992-1997, as a government minister 1994-1997 (Tyne & Wear Sponsor Minister, Government Whip and HM Paymaster General).
Michael serves as a non-executive director of the Vardy Group of Companies in the UK and eStandardsForum Inc in the US. A graduate of Oxford University, he is currently a member of the Business Advisory Forum of the University of Oxford Business School. Contributing author to Country & Political Risk-Practical Insights for Global Finance (Risk Book, 2005) and The Road to International Financial Stability-(Palgrave, 2003).
